Mary Putnam Jacobi exhibit part of the Gendered Innovations exhibition at Taiwan Science Education Centre

I worked with Dimensions Plus in Taiwan to put together the animations for an exhibit on Mary Putnam Jacobi, a scientist, doctor, writer and suffragist. She was one of the first female doctors and a very inspiring character.

The exhibit takes the form of two parallel projectors that both screen screen different scenes from Jacobi’s life. The two projections are in the style of a Victorian Magic Lantern. Different scenes can be triggered by buttons between the two projectors.

The exhibit is part of a wider exhibition called Gendered Innovations at the Taiwan Science Education Centre and is on from February to November 2019.
