Yesterday I visited the lovely Sky Arts Den in Bath. This has been set up as part of the Bath Literature Festival occupying a corner of the library and offering all sorts of free creative workshops and free performances. We were lucky enough to catch the end of a performance by Hip Hop Shakespeare, an inspiring act of rhythmic poetry, nothing like anything I've ever seen. Unfortunately, I also had to speak in front of people in some kind of arty campaign speech, without props and without notes. Not my forte... Sky Arts has offered one South West artist a bursary of £1000 to develop their work. I am one of the three artists on display in the Sky Arts Den and it's up to the public to vote for their favourite by putting a button in the jar next to their work.
So if you're heading into Bath this week, please take a gander at my work (displayed in part on an iPad, oooh!) and pop a voting button in my grateful jar! THANKS!
